FOOD, FARMS AND THE FUTURE
Food, Farms and the Future is an educational program that teaches the importance of good nutrition, the science of agriculture and environmental sustainability to middle and high school students and their families.
The program consists of an educational and entertaining livestream, follow-up lesson plans and supplemental materials.
It starts with an exploration of good nutrition and what kinds of foods make up a balanced diet.
Food, Farms and the Future investigates how farmers use science, technology, engineering and math to grow and produce the food on which we all depend.
Finally, students learn the ways in which modern farmers are using sustainable practices to ensure the planet stays green and growing.
